UE5 - Liminal Forest Enviroment

This exercise was particularly enjoyable for me as it allowed me to connect with my technical art knowledge and experience. At my Masters I was assigned to create a small open-world area using Unreal Engine. The setting required was a forest, enveloping a structure designed to serve as an interior environment.

I crafted the interior environment, aiming for a brutalist aesthetic. Inspiration for this setting drew from the game "Control" by Remedy Entertainment. I envisioned a blend of ancient and modern elements—a kind of enchanted forest juxtaposed with an anachronistic building at its core. The goal was to evoke a sense of curiosity in players, prompting them to question, "What is this doing here?"
